Overview
Description: Scholarships are offered to full-time undergraduate engineering or pre-engineering students pursuing a Bachelor of Science or engineering degree in programs that traditionally prepare students for the HVAC&R profession. Regional scholarships may include additional criteria posted online. Applicants are expected to meet the academic and programmatic qualifications summarized in the Eligibility section.

- Bachelor-level study (B.S. or engineering degree) required

Eligibility
Eligibility: Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and/or a class standing no lower than the top 30 percent. In addition, applicants must meet at least one of the following institutional or program criteria: the institution hosts a recognized ASHRAE student branch, the program is accredited by ABET, or the program is accredited by CACEI. Region IV Benny Bootle Memorial Scholarship
Description: The Region IV Benny Bootle Memorial Scholarship is a one-year award given annually to qualified undergraduate pre-engineering, engineering, or architecture students attending post-secondary institutions within ASHRAE Region IV (North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia). Candidates must satisfy the general academic and institutional criteria described above. The scholarship supports students preparing for careers related to HVAC&R.
- One-year, annually awarded scholarship
- Open to students at institutions within ASHRAE Region IV (NC, SC, GA)
- Recipients must meet the general eligibility requirements
