Introduction The RentHop Apartment Scholarship provides up to $2,000 per year to qualifying undergraduate students enrolled in associate’s or bachelor’s degree programs in the United States. This award is aimed at students who reflect the ambition, hard work, leadership, and entrepreneurial mindset that are core to RentHop’s culture. RentHop’s platform was built to streamline the home-search process, and this scholarship supports students who demonstrate the same persistence and initiative. Who is eligible - Current students in an eligible undergraduate program (associate’s or bachelor’s), or - High school seniors who will be entering an associate’s or bachelor’s program. Applicants must be studying at an accredited U.S. institution and working toward a qualifying degree. How to apply Write an original essay (500 words maximum) that answers this prompt: Imagine yourself 10 years after graduating college, living the life you want. Find a RentHop listing you can picture living in and explain how that listing contributes to your ideal day. Include a link to the listing in your submission. Submit your essay through the Scholarship Application Form. Finalists may be considered for a feature on the RentHop blog. Rules, awards, and payment - All rules are subject to review by the RentHop Scholarship Board. - Awards can total up to $2,000 per year for eligible recipients. One of the award amounts offered is a $1,000 cash scholarship. - RentHop will confirm the recipient’s school policy regarding acceptance of external scholarship funds. If the school requires it, scholarship checks will be sent directly to the institution rather than the student.
