AIERF College Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Appraisal Institute Education and Relief Foundation
Overview
This scholarship, granted on the basis of academic excellence, supports undergraduate and graduate students who are focused on — or have shown a clear interest in — real estate appraisal and/or valuation. The scholarship is offered annually.
Award
- Amount: $1,500 (applied to tuition only)
Deadline
- Application materials must be received by April 1.
Who may apply
- Students majoring in real estate appraisal, land economics, real estate, or closely related fields, with a demonstrated interest in appraisal and/or valuation.
- Class standing: Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Master’s candidate, or Doctoral candidate.
- Enrolled (full- or part-time) at a U.S. degree-granting college or university.
- A strong academic record is required.
- Recipients must use the award during the same academic year in which it is granted.
- Eligible applicants may receive only one (1) AIERF Scholarship in a single year.
Required application materials (submit via the online form)
1. Personal statement — 200 words describing academic achievements, financial need, career goals, involvement in the real estate field, and any other qualifications the applicant wishes to highlight.
2. Resume — current résumé; preference will be given to candidates with an appraisal internship.
3. Transcripts — copies of all college transcripts.
4. Letters of recommendation — two (2) letters addressing the applicant’s work ethic, character, and commitment to a career in real estate appraisal, land economics, real estate, or related fields.
Conditions
- Scholarship payments will be made directly to the academic institution listed on the application and may be applied only to tuition charges.
- Applications must be fully completed and all information provided must be accurate; incomplete or inaccurate submissions will not be considered.
