Marc E. Lewis Youth Scholarship

FLAG Flag Football is offering a scholarship totaling up to $10,000 to one or more graduating Massachusetts high school seniors who will attend a two- or four-year college or a post-high-school career school during the 2026–2027 academic year.
Purpose
The award recognizes a student who has helped make their high school and/or community sports programs safer and more welcoming for LGBTQIA+ student-athletes—either by serving as a role model or acting as an ally. In keeping with our organization’s mission, applicants of every athletic skill level and background are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility & Selection
- Must be a graduating high school student in Massachusetts planning to enroll in a two- or four-year college or a post-high-school career school for 2026–2027.
- Demonstrated work to improve safety and inclusivity for LGBTQIA+ athletes in high school or community sports.
- Award decisions will be based on responses to the application questions (below) and two letters of reference.
Who Should Apply
Students of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome and urged to apply, including gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and straight applicants.
Deadline
Applications must be post-marked no later than Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
