Overview
This scholarship is intended for Wisconsin high school seniors who are involved with their school's basketball program and plan to continue their education at a University of Wisconsin System campus. Below are the specific qualifications and application requirements.
Athletic eligibility
- You must be active in your high school’s boys or girls basketball program during your senior year, either as a player or as a team manager.
Financial eligibility
- The foundation will evaluate financial need using a completed Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Receiving other forms of financial assistance does not disqualify you; you may apply for and accept additional aid.
Academic eligibility
- Applicants must be graduating seniors from a Wisconsin high school (public or private) in the current year.
- Enrollment is required at a University of Wisconsin System school as a full-time student (minimum 12 credits) in a four-year degree program.
- To continue receiving the scholarship after the first year, recipients must sustain standards consistent with the initial award, which includes maintaining a cumulative GPA greater than 2.0.
Other requirements and application steps
- Applicants must be bona fide residents of Wisconsin.
- You will need to provide the unique student ID assigned by the UW System institution(s) to which you apply.
- A completed FAFSA must be on file for your application to be considered.
- Submit the online application during the enrollment window: February 1 through April 30 of your senior year.
