The Vermont Retail & Grocers Association (VRGA) provides scholarships for students who are connected to our member businesses. These awards offer financial assistance to qualified applicants who will be entering their first year at an accredited two- or four-year post-secondary institution within the United States. The VRGA Scholarship Fund is funded entirely by our members — we appreciate their continued support in helping Vermont students pursue higher education.
Eligibility requirements
- Be a Vermont resident affiliated with a VRGA member located in Vermont.
- Be either:
- a student completing high school in 2026 and planning to begin attendance at an accredited two- or four-year U.S. post-secondary institution, or
- an individual who, after receiving a high school diploma, will attend an accredited two- or four-year U.S. post-secondary institution for the first time in 2026.
- File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than four weeks prior to the scholarship deadline of April 24, 2026.
Affiliation (must meet one or more)
- Be the dependent of an employee or owner of a VRGA member company. The employee/owner must be a Vermont resident.
- Be an employee of a VRGA retail or associate member company that has a location in Vermont. The employee must be a Vermont resident.
