Dennis Malone Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Connecticut Parks Association
Intro
Founded in 1958, the Connecticut Parks Association (CPA) works to expand public access to parks and to support their development, upkeep, and conservation throughout Connecticut communities. The organization also seeks to foster professional connections and camaraderie among those working in the parks field.
The Dennis Malone Scholarship
Following the death of Dennis Malone in 1998, the Association renamed its scholarship program in his memory. Malone, a former CPA president and the original creator of the scholarship, is honored by awards that help carry on his legacy. The scholarship is intended to support and encourage promising students who plan careers in park-related professions.
