Masonic Foundation of DC Scholarship

Intro
For more than 20 years the Masonic Foundation of the District of Columbia (MFDC) has supported high-achieving high school graduates by providing college scholarship assistance.
Scholarship overview
Selected students may receive up to $10,000 per year in tuition support. Awards are renewable for up to four years in total (the initial award plus three renewals), provided recipients maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Available scholarships
- Masonic Foundation of DC Scholarship (MFDC Scholarship)
- Open to graduating seniors of District of Columbia public high schools or DC public charter schools.
- DC Freemason Scholarship (DCM Scholarship)
- Open to graduating seniors who are dependents or family members of a Freemason in good standing with the Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, of the District of Columbia (Washington, DC). The sponsoring Freemason must have a valid dues card number. Eligible family relationships include great-grandparent, grandparent, parent, or legal guardian of the applicant.
Minimum application requirements
- Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
- Submit a complete online application that includes:
- All application questions answered
- Official high school transcript
- FAFSA submission including the Estimated Student Aid Index (SAI)
- Parent or legal guardian approval and signature if the applicant is under 18 at the time of submission
- Apply during the standard application period: February 1 through April 30 each year
Additional information
- The scholarship may be renewed up to three additional years (four years total) if the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- The Masonic Foundation of DC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or extend the Scholarship Application window at any time.
