Woman Of Purpose Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Women With A Purpose
Introduction
Female students and those who identify as female are eligible to apply online for scholarship assistance. Only applications submitted during the current application season will be considered.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Woman of Purpose Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a current high school senior enrolled in the Calhoun County School District
- Have been accepted to a nationally accredited community, trade, vocational, or technical college
- Intend to enroll as a degree-seeking undergraduate during the upcoming aid year for which the scholarship is requested
- Hold a cumulative high school or transfer GPA of at least 2.70
- Plan to register as a full-time student for the Fall and Spring semesters
Selection Process
A designated panel of Woman of Purpose Scholarship judges will evaluate all eligible applications. The committee will weigh factors including academic accomplishment, responses to application essays, recommendations, and demonstrated financial need. Awards are decided and distributed annually, no later than June.
Award Information
General scholarships are one-time awards and are not renewable. Individual scholarship amounts typically range from $1,000 to $2,000, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and available funds.
