Through our scholarship and endowment initiatives, we provide more than $40,000 each year to deserving students from Georgia who are preparing to enroll in the state’s colleges, technical colleges, and universities. The annual GMF Scholarship does more than help with tuition — it also connects recipients with the Georgia Mining Association and its member companies, offering both financial support and industry links that enhance their educational experience. The Albert James (Bert) Shoosmith Scholarship was created by the Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association (VNLA) in 2003 to assist students pursuing their first undergraduate degree. VNLA will award at least two scholarships of $1,500 each to students enrolled in a four-year college or university for the upcoming academic year, and at least two scholarships of $750 each to students enrolled in a two-year community college program.
