AGMA Foundation Scholarship Program
Scholarship Sponsored by AGMA Foundation
Introduction
The AGMA Foundation provides scholarships to exceptional engineering students at the Associate/Technical, Undergraduate, and Graduate levels. This scholarship program was established to help meet the demand for skilled personnel in the gear and power transmission industries. If you would like to support the next generation of gear-industry professionals, please consider donating to the AGMA Foundation Scholarship Program.
Submission instructions and deadline

The complete application and all supporting documents must arrive in the MPMA Foundation office by 5:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Questions about the scholarship may be directed to Mary Ellen Doran, MPMA Foundation Executive Director, at Doran@motionpower.org.

Materials that must be sent directly to the Foundation (letters sent by applicants will not be accepted)
1. Two letters of recommendation
- We recommend one letter from an employer and one from a faculty member.
- Letters from employers in the gear, bearing, and/or power transmission industry and letters from faculty in engineering, math, or science receive greater consideration.
- Recommenders must email their letters directly to foundation@motionpower.org. The sender’s email address must match the name of the person providing the recommendation. Letters submitted by the applicant will not be considered.
2. Official transcripts
- Provide official transcripts from your most recent school (high school and/or institution of higher learning such as a technical school, community college, or university). Transcripts must be certified by the registrar or another authorized official.
- High school transcripts are required only for technical/associate-level applicants and for students in their first year of undergraduate study.
- Transcripts must be marked official; unofficial copies will not be accepted. Official transcripts may be sent with your application or directly to the Foundation.
