Richard J. Geiger Memorial Scholarship

Overview
The Richard J. Geiger Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to honor the memory of Rich Geiger, a Conservation District Engineer who served several communities across western Washington and worked to protect and restore the ecological health of Puget Sound. Colleagues and friends remember Rich as an outstanding engineer and a kind, humorous person who genuinely cared about those he worked with. This scholarship continues his commitment to mentoring students pursuing engineering careers.
Eligibility
- Must be a graduating high school senior from Mason County or Thurston County.
- Intending to enroll in an engineering degree program.
- Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.5.
Preferred Qualities (preference may be given to applicants who demonstrate one or more)
- A graduating senior from a Mason County high school
- Interest in using engineering to benefit the environment or society
- Plays a musical instrument
- Experience in mentoring or tutoring others
- Documentation of financial need
